Shabbir Yusuf, president of Bangladesh Jute Spinners Association (BJSA) and a former renowned hockey player, died in a Singapore Hospital in the early hours of Thursday. He was 66.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. He was admitted to the hospital with a brain tumor and undergone a surgery there.
He was the 4th son of late politician Yusuf Ali Chowdhury (Mohon Mia of Faridpur).
