BJMC and Bangladesh Ansar moved into the final of the EXIM Bank 26th National Women’s Handball Competition on Thursday.
In the day’s first semi-final, BJMC defeated Naogaon district team by 33-6 goals after finishing the first half with a 21-2 goals’ lead at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Shirina of BJMC scored seven goals and her teammate Shilpi netted five goals while Nur Jahan of Naogaon scored three goals and her teammate Naznin netted two goals.
In the day’s second semifinal, Bangladesh Ansar beat Bangladesh Police by 33-8 goals after completing the first session with a 18-6 goals’ lead at the same venue.
Nishi of Bangladesh Ansar scored 12 goals and her teammates Masuda, Happy netted four goals each while Sabina, Rumi, Hashi, Ani of Bangladesh Police scored two goals each.
Tomorrow BJMC will face Bangladesh Ansar in the final at 3.00 pm at the same venue.
