Opinion: Birth of a Prophet

Ameer Hamzah :
Hazrat Isa (AS), son of Marium was Prophet of Allah unto the people of Israel, as revealed from verse No. 49 of Surah Al Imran. Allah taught him the Book and the wisdom and the Tavrat and the Injeel in terms of the Verse No. 3/48.
And about his mother Marium, daughter of Imran, we read in the Verse No. 3/42 of the Quran: O Marium! Surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and preferred you above the women of the creation.”
“O Mariun! Keep to obedience to your Lord and humble yourself and bow down with those who bow down”-3/43.
However, the birth of Hazrat Isa is different from us, from Hazrat Adam (AS) and Hawa. Hazrat Isa had no father, Hazrat Adam and Hawa had neither fathers nor mothers, but we have both fathers and mothers.
About Adam’s creation, Allah says in Verse No. 24, Surah Al Hijr, “I have made him complete and breathed into him of my Spirit.”
About Spirit, the commentators say that the Spirit is the Angels of higher rank, and they have structure similar to a human being.
Three surahs of the holy Quran deal with the stories of Hazrat Marium and Hazrat Isa (AS) in order to remove darkness about the birth of him. These surahs are Al Imran, Maidah and Marium.
When Marium chose seclusion from others, We sent unto her Our Spirit in the likeness of a perfect man. He said to Marium:
“I am only a messenger from your Lord. I shall give you (the tidings) of a pure boy”-19/19
“She said: How can I have a son when no man touched me yet, nor have I been unchaste?”-19/20
“He said: Even so; your Lord says: It is easy to Me. And that We shall make him a sign to men and a mercy from us. And it is a matter which has been decreed,”-19/21
“And she conceived him and withdrew herself with him to a remote place,” 19/22
After Hazrat Marium had gaven birth Isa in a remote place beside a river and under a date tree, she returned to her people with him. They became surprised and said:
“O sister of Haroun! Your father was not a bad man, nor was your mother an unchaste woman,”-19/28
“But she pointed to him. They said: How should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?-19/29
“He said: Surely I am a servant of Allah. He has given me the book and has appointed me a Prophet.”-19/30
“And He has made me blessed wherever I shall be, and He has enjoined me Namaj and Zakat so long as I live,”-19/31
“And dutiful towards her who bore me, and has not made me arrogant, unblest,”-19/32
“Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I shall die, and the day I shall be raised alive,”-19/33
“Such was Isa, son of Marium: This is a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt,”-19/34.
