Fardeen Hossain Ony’s brilliant 108 not out powered Udaychal Club to record an overwhelming nine wickets win over Old DOHS Sports Club in the Dhaka First Division Cricket league match held on Monday at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothishtan (BKSP) Ground 3.
Electing to bat first, Old DOHS SC scored 219 for 7 in their allotted 50 overs.
Minhaz with 48, Mohammed Rakib with 44, Mahadiul Islam with 38 not out, Anisul Islam with 22 and Kamran Farhad with 35 runs were the notable Old DOHS batsmen.
In reply a belligerent 191 runs opening stand between Fardeen hossain and Mim Mossadek saw Udaychal literally strolled to their target scoring 220 for 1 in 39.1 overs . Mim Mossadek was unlucky not to record his ton as he fell for 84 off 97 deliveries studded with seven boundaries and three well timed sixers.
Fardeen went to remain unbeaten on 108 runs coming off 128 deliveries laced with ten delightful boundaries.
