Staff Reporter :Some unidentified miscreants have made an attempt to kill senior journalist Monir Hiader when he was on way to his New Eskaton house on Saturday late night. The incident took place when he was returning home from the refueling station in city’s Maghbazar area. Suddenly two motorcycle riders tried to block his car, which he was driving.Sensing danger he drove the car speedily and went to his house. The motorcycle riders who were trying to create obstacle failed in their mission.A GD has been filed with Ramna Police Station in this connection. He stated in the GD that some unidentified persons have threatened to kill him recently over his cell phone. Recently Monir Haider was removed from his job in Bengali daily Ittefaq. Now he is working as Deputy Editor of Manabjamin. He appears on TV programmes frequently.
