Bangladesh Homeopathic Parishad (BHP) has demanded establishment of a Homeo University with affiliating power in the country.
The parishad made the demand at a day-long seminar in the city on Sunday with its president
Dr. AKM Shahidullah in the chair. It arranged the seminar on the occasion of 260th anniversary of the father of Homeopathy, Dr Samuel Heinemann.
Acting president of central committee Dr Abdul Karim delivered welcome speech while director general of Jatiya Muktijoddha Council Dr. Shyamapad Dey, joint secretary of Industries Ministry Dr. Sheikh Md Mubarak Hossain, Dr. Md Mufazzal Hossain, Dr. Aporesh Kumar Banarjee, Dr. Sheikh Faruk Elahi,
Dr. Shawkat Ali Bhuiyan, Dr. Anjan Kumar Das, Dr. G Mawla, Dr. Birendra Deb, Dr. Kabiul Karim, Dr. Alibuddin and Dr. Nazrul Islam also spoke.
Alongside the demand of Homeo University, the speakers also demanded of the government to provide cent percent salary and allowances for the teachers and employees of the homeopathic medical colleges of the country.
Recalling Dr. Samuel Heinemann, they said that the homeopathic treatment is a complete medical system. Heinemann had worked for developing the homeopathic medical system.
