The Upazila Administration and Fisheries Department conducted a raid on the Tentulia river in Borhanuddin upazila of Bhola and destroyed hundreds of illegal Binti net leaf installations. Monday from 8 am to 4 pm Upazila Executive Officer. The operation was carried out with the help of police under the leadership of Saifur Rahman.
Ali Ahmad Akand, senior fisheries officer (additional responsibility) of the upazila, said the operation destroyed more than 100 illegal binti net leaf installations. More than two hundred drums used in Binti net leaves were seized and destroyed.
As all kinds of fish, big and small, are caught in the net, the net leaves are completely forbidden.
At that time Assistant Commissioner (Land) said. Police members including Shoaib Ahmad, Senior Fisheries Officer (Additional Duty) Ali Ahmad Akand were present.
