The leaders of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Kalyan Front (BHBCKF) have expressed deep concern over the Citizenship Amendment Bill which was passed in the Indian Parliament.
The Convener of Front Advocate Gautam Chakrabarti said it in a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday.
He said, “Minorities of both India and Bangladesh will be panicked and the majority will also feel sad due to this discriminatory Citizenship Act.”
“As the Act has been formulated based on Religious Division, it’s a matter of worry for minorities of both the countries,”

he added. “Both the governments should take such steps so that the security of the Hindu community in this country is not affected,” the statement said.
Former Minister Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury said, “Many Indians are demonstrating against the Citizenship Amendment Act. “Minorities face repression in both the countries for bad politics.”
“We believe in democracy where citizens from all religions will enjoy equal rights. We do not support discrimination. Demonstration is ongoing across the India, we express solidarity with those who are fighting for equal rights,” he said.
