An old woman was dead in a head-on collision with an autovanin Bhanguraupazila of Pabna. Her name is SajedaKhatun (55). She is the wife of late Abul Hossain of Deobhog village under Faridpurupazila of Pabna. The incident took place at Bhabura-Ashtamanisha road on Monday noon. At least three more people were injured. The old woman was going to her granddaughter-in-law’s house in Ashtamanisha village with her sister NurjahanKhatun.
M. Faisal Bin Ahsan, officer in charge of Bhangura police station confirmed the incident and said that a student of government Haji Jamal Uddin College named Aditya Saikat Pal rescued the injured woman from the accident site and took her to the Upazila Health Complex. But the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The OC said the body of the old woman was handed over to her relatives as there were no complaints in this regard.
