Talented playwright and director Shamima Shammi gives most of the time in direction on the occasion of special days’ plays. For this reason, she does not engage herself with making TV plays round the year rather than she concentrates on for making the special days’ plays. As a part of its continuation, Shamima Shammi again became busy with coming Eid plays.
Under her own written story Shamima Shammi has made a special play titled Roktodrone on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In the play, Zahid Hasan, Bhabna and Nawsheen acted in roles of Aronno, Brishti and Nitu respectively.
Basically Nawsheen worked in role of Zahid Hasan’s wife, while Bhabna played in role of Nawsheen’s younger sister. Shooting of the play was wrapped up at Rongdhonu, a shooting spot in the city’s Uttara area last Saturday.
While talking about the play Zahid Hasan told this correspondent, “For the first time, I worked under Shammi’s direction. It is a positive sign to work under female directors that they work in planned and organised way. Shamima Shammi also did it. Both Nawsheen and Bhabna tried to work properly regarding their roles in the play. They are also cooperative. Story of the play is nice. Shamima Shammi tried her level best to make the play properly, I think so.”
Nawsheen shared her feelings by this way, “I worked in role of a paralyzed woman in the play. I never worked in that role in any play. Zahid Bhai is very much cooperative and he always likes that. Earlier I had experience to work under Shammi Bhabi’s direction. Till perfect presentation she never compromises in the shooting spot.”
Bhabna said, “While working with Zahid Bhai I always feel that I have been working in own family. I never feel any tension in this regard.”
Director Shamima Shammi informed that the play will be aired in any satellite channel in Eid-ul-Fitr. In last Pahela Boishakh, Shammi made a special play titled Ebong Bhorer Golpo for Banglavision.
Meanwhile, Zahid Hasan acted and directed two new serials – Raju 420 and Vagabond – will go on air soon. Orsha and Urmila are his co-actresses in these serials.
On the other hand, though she became irregular in acting last few years Nawsheen has again become busy with acting.
However, Bhabna has already finished dubbing of her first acted movie Bhoyonkor Sundor directed by Animesh Aich. She mentioned that this Eid she will work in many plays, serials and telefilms.
It may be mentioned that in play Roktodrone, Shomapti also acted in a special role.
