Myanmar Boarder Guard Police (BGP) allegedly abducted six fishermen along with their three boats from the Naf River on Sunday morning. The fishermen who were abducted are: Alamgir, 55, Akbar, 35, Mohammad Hossain, 33, Abdul Amin, 28, Abdulla, 14, son of Quader Hossain, and Shahiduddin, 68. They all hail from South Jaliapara village under Teknaf pourasava.
Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said a group of fishermen in five boats were fishing in the Naf River near Jaliapara No 1 sluice gate in the morning.
