The BGMEA Cup Football tournament begins today (Thursday) at International Turkish Hope School (ITHS) ground in the city.
This is the second edition of the seven-a-side inter-garments football tournament which will be played on each weekend only and the final of the tournament is slated on March 24 at the Bangladesh Army Stadium.
The tournament is organised by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Leo Entertainment Sports Management.
Sixteen renowned garments of the country-Bando Design Ltd (Champion-2016), Comfit Composite Knit Ltd of Youth Group (Runner-Up 2016), Epyllion Group, Ananta Group, Rayontex Group, Nassa Group, Setara Group, Majumder Group, Babylon Group, Sterling Group, Versatile Group, Mehnaz Styles & Craft, Interstoff Apparel, Torque Fashions, Musk Trousers, Apparel Industry-split into four groups-will compete in the meet.
