Staff Reporter :The Election Commission (EC) has planned to deploy Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from today (Monday) in all the municipalities where Municipal election will be held on December 30.The Election Commission on Sunday took the decision about the deployment of Paramilitary force apart from Police, RAB, Coast Guard and Ansar in order to ensure a free and fair polls, said an official of the EC Secretariat.Each municipality with more than one lakh voters will get two platoons of BGB (35 members in each platoon), municipalities with 50,000 to one lakh voters each will get one platoon plus, municipalities with 10,000-50,000 voters each will get one platoon, and municipalities having less than 10,000 voters each will less than one platoon, he said.More than one lakh members of different law enforcement agencies will remain ready in the municipality areas for four days from December 28 to 31 instant to meet emergency.
