BGB seizes Tk 16 lack, detains two in Jashore

order Guard Bangladesh personnel, in two raids, recovered Tk 16 lakh and detained two youths from Benapole frontiers on Tuesday. They were going to India with the hundi money, said Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Hoque, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion.
The detained are Suruj Mia, 17 of Sadipur village under Benapole port police station and Khalid Mahmud Sujon, 19 of Boalia village under Sharsha police station in Jashore.
The duo was detained from Benapole Bazar and Sadipur at around 11am and 10am, said the BGB CO adding that the detained and the currency, which he described as hundi money, were handed over to Benapole port station police. Two separate cases were filed in this regard.
