Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has raided the border area of Jashore in the last five months and seized smuggled goods worth Tk 10 crore.
They confirmed the matter in a press release sent to media on Friday.
Jashore BGB-49 Commander Lt. Col. Selim Reza said 73 smugglers have been arrested in the last five months on various charges.
He further said the drugs seized during the period included 204 yaba tablets,
11,000 bottles of phensedyl, 198 bottles of foreign liquor and 348 kg of hemp. Besides, 7.3 kg of gold was also seized at that time.
