Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar and Chapainawabganj District team moved into the semifinals of the EXIM Bank 24th National Men’ Handball Championship on Tuesday.
In the day’s first quarterfinal match, BGB defeated Kushtia District team by 54-22 goals after completing the first half with a 28-13 goals lead at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
In the day’s second quarterfinal match, Bangladesh Police overcame Madaripur District team by 42-27 goals after finishing the first session with a 21-13 goals lead at the same venue.
In the day’s third quarterfinal match, Bangladesh Ansar drubbed Gopalganj District team by 52-6 goals lead at the same venue.
Ansar led the first half by 25-1 goals.
In the day’s fourth quarterfinal match, Chapainawabganj District team beat Chittagong District team by 32-27 goals at the same venue.
Chapainawabganj led the first half 17-12.
Today BGB will face Chapainawabganj District team in the first semifinal at 2.00 pm while Bangladesh Police will meet Bangladesh Ansar in the second semifinal at 3.30 pm at the same venue.
