BGB nabs woman with 57 gold bars in Jashore

Border Guard Bangladesh personnel, in a raid, arrested a woman along with 57 pieces of gold bars weighing 9.2 kilograms raiding an area in front of Sadipur Primary School under Benapole port police station at around 7:10pm on Friday, said Lieutenant Colonel Selim Reza, Commanding Officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion.
He told that tipped off, BGB men led by Nayek Nurul Islam of Benapole BOP, arrested Banesa Khatun, 45, wife of Dukhu Mia of Sadipur village and seized the gold bars worth Tk 5,70,40,000.
The gold bards were being taken to India through illegal way. Lodging of case and deposition of the gold bars were underway, he added.
