Border Guard Bangladesh director general Major General Shakil Ahmed distributed Eid gifts and relief items among the flood-affected people at Dulura BOP and visited Sunamganj battalion sadar on Sunday, the day of Eid-ul-Azha, said a press release on Tuesday.
The BGB director general distributed relief materials and Eid gifts, including beef, polao rice, semai, sugar, raisins, almonds, spices, and pure water, among 500 poor families.
During the visit, the BGB director general exchanged Eid greetings with all the BGB members deployed in the border areas.
He thanked the BGB members for discharging their duties successfully in the face of adversity at the remote border.
He also gave them various directions to perform their duties with patriotism, discipline, and honesty.
