Law enforcers took position at different city points to ensure security, centering the verdict against Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Matiur Rahman Nizami today.As part of the security measure, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has also taken stringent security measures to avert any untoward incident after pronouncing the verdict in the case of crimes against humanity against Nizami.According to a RAB press release yesterday, the elite anti-crime forces will engage 8,000 personnel around the country including the capital and the ICT-1 area for the purpose.The release said the RAB would remain vigilant about the security to ensure safety to the people in the court building area both before and after pronouncement of the verdict.The RAB would also search at various important key installations with its dog and bomb squad to avert any untoward incident today. The RAB headquarters will monitor the security activities.Meanwhile, the authorities in the evening deployed paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the capital to ward off violence centring the pronouncement of the war crimes trial verdict on Jamaat-e-Islami chief Motiur Rahman Nizami.Twenty platoons of BGB men were deployed on different city streets around 7:00pm, sources in the BGB said.
