Md Touhidul Islam, additional director general of the BGB, and Mubina Asaf, chief of BAT’s legal and external affairs, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
BGB Director General Major General Md Shafeenul Islam appreciated the initiative, saying, “We’re happy to be part of this joint venture to achieve the national goal.”
“The kind of programme that BAT Bangladesh is pursuing in the face of climate change is commendable and I wish their success,” the BGB DG added.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina set a target of planting one crore saplings marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
