BGB, Ansar emerges champions in National Wrestling

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) of men’s division and Bangladesh Ansar of women’s division emerged champions in the 32nd Men’s and 6th Women’s National Wrestling competition that concluded on Monday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium.
BGB secured seven medals including five gold, one silver, and one bronze medals to clinch the competition.
Besides, Bangladesh Ansar finished as runners-up in the men’s division with six medals including two gold, three silver and one bronze medal while Bangladesh Army became third in the competition securing seven medals including one gold, two silver and four bronze medals.
On the other hand, women’s division champions Bangladesh Ansar won seven medals including six gold and one silver medal while Bangladesh Army finished runners-up with eight medals including two gold and six silver medals.
Food Minister Advocate Kamrul Islam was the chief guest on the closing day of the two-day meet and distributed prizes among the winners.
