Altaf Hossain, a farmer of Jhenaidah Sadar upazia was awarded as the best vegetable producer throughout the country. He was selected for his outstanding performances of producing organic crops aims at safe food security for the people of the country as well as consumers abroad.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) under the Ministry of Agriculture arranged the programme at Milki Auditorium at Khamarbari in Dhaka on Tuesday evening.
Presided over by theDG of the DAE Hamidur Rahman, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture Makbul Hossain MP as chief guest, distributed the award among the participants as chief guest, . Secretary of the Ministry Shyamal Kanti Ghosh among others attended as special guests. Altaf Hossain was awarded with a crest, cash Taka 10 thousand and a certificate as the recognition to his works.
