A beat policing rally against rape and torture of women was held at Panchbibi in Joypurhat on Saturday under the theme ‘Safe Women, Safe Country, Happy Prosperous Bangladesh’.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Md. Istiaq Alam was the chief guest in the presidency of Thana Officer-in-Charge Md. Mansur Rahman. Panel Mayor Nur Hossain, Municipal Awami League President SK Abdul Haque, Councilors Anisur Rahman Bachchu, Idris Ali Bahadur, SI Hafeez and Golam Mostafa were present as guests. Earlier, a rally encircled the main roads in the municipal town.
