The two-day long Walton Beach Throwball Tournament starts today at the Laboni Ponit in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Bangladesh Throwball Association has arranged the competition while Walton Group is the sponsor of the meet. Walton Group has given Tk two lakh to Bangladesh Throwball Association.
Four teams are taking part in the Men’s Division. They are: Bangladesh Police, Glorious Sporting Club of Dhaka, Dhaka Riders and Pabla Sabuh Sangha of Khulna. Three teams are competing in the Women’s Division. They are: Jatrabari Sporting Club, Khilgaon Samaj Kalyan Sangha and Pabla Sabuj Sangha of Khulna.
The participating teams are getting Tk five thousand each as participation money. The champions and the runners-up will be awarded trophies.
Tomorrow the throwball tournament will come to an end.
