The Walton 2nd Cox’s Bazar Beach Football Tournament starts today (Saturday) at the Laboni Point of Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association has arranged the four-day long football competition while Walton is the sponsor of the meet.
A total of eight teams are taking part in the football tournament. They are: Abahani Krira Chakra, National Cox Krira Sangha, Malumghat Krira Sangha, Youngmens Club, Coat Bazar Players Association, Football Club Moheshkhali, Bashkata Players Association and Shatadal Club.
The champions of the tournament will get Tk 20,000 while the runners-up will be awarded Tk 15,000 as prize-money.
Each participant team will be given Tk 5,000 as participation money.
The tournament will be concluded on September1.
