Bangladesh Development Company Ltd. (BDC) a concern of BDG-MAGURA GROUP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with globally reputed China Gezhouba International Engineering Co., Ltd (CGGC) for strategic cooperation in various fields including energy construction, industrial expansion, real estate development and infrastructural implementations, said a press release.
The signing ceremony was held at CGGC office in Beijing when a 7-member BDG-MAGURA GROUP delegation visited China recently in an atmosphere of warm cordiality and amity.
BDG-Magura Group Chairman, Mustafa Kamal Mohiuddin and China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co; Ltd. President, Lv Zexiang signed the MOU on behalf of their respective concern in the presence of distinguished gathering of business delegates of both sides. Among others, A.M. Naimur Rahman Durjoy MP, Safwan Sobhan, Vice-President,Bashundhara Group. Dilara Mostafa, Vice-Chairman and Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin, Group Director of BDG-MAGURA GROUP were present.
Besides, Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in China Md. Mahfuzul Alam Khan witnessed the signing ceremony while Bangladesh Embassy in China extended all-out support in reaching the MOU.
BDC is a diverse type of enterprises engaged in the fields of paper, garments, real estate, infrastructural and other potential economic sectors of Bangladesh. It also possesses the advance technology concept and diversified business coverage. On the other hand, CGGC is a sub-group developed under China Energy Engineering Group Co.’ Ltd which is under direct control of the Central Government of China. As a leading and comprehensive construction enterprise, it has undertaken numerous projects in different areas of the world and accordingly listed on the “TOP 225 International Contractors (ENR). With the strong support from its established financial capability, CGGC is now planning to expand businesses in energy, real estate, infrastructural or other potential fields in Bangladesh.
Under the MOU, CGGC and BDC will cooperate on projects of various kinds including Private-Corporate Projects (PCP), Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects and government to government (G to G) projects in terms of design, construction, contracting, management, operation and financing. Besides, research on opportunities for projects and sharing of market development information would be the other avenues of cooperation.
