Sabina scores hat-trick: BD Women’s Football team thrash Hong Kong in friendly football

Bangladesh Women’s Football team thrashed Hong Kong by five goals to nil in their friendly football match in Uzbekistan on Sunday. Ace striker Sabina Khatun hit a hat-trick for red-and-green outfit.
Bangladesh led the first half 2-0.
Tahura Khatun of Bangladesh put her team ahead in the 18th minute of the first half.
Sabina Khatun made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute of the play.
After the intermission, Sabina Khatun scored her second goal in the 53rd minute of the match.
Sabina Khatun fulfilled her hat-trick in the 57th minute of the clash.
Sabina sealed the fate of the match (5-0) in the 85th minute of the game.
 Bangladesh and Hong Kong went to Uzbekistan to take part in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers. Bangladesh and Hong Kong compete in two different groups. Bangladesh lost to Jordan by five goals to nil in their first group match on September 19. Bangladesh tasted a 5-0 goals defeat to Iran in their second and last group match. Thus Bangladesh failed to move into the final round.
On the other hand, Hong Kong lost to Palestine in their first group match. Then Hong Kong made a draw with Nepal in their second group match. Thus Hong Kong failed to reach the final round.
Before leaving Uzbekistan, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and the Hong Kong Football Association planned to play a friendly football match between Bangladesh and Hong Kong. So, the friendly football match was held yesterday.
