State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Shikder said Bangladesh has set a bright instance in the field of establishing communal harmony.
He said people of all faiths are now living in the country with peace and tranquility as the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is pledged bound to establish communal harmony in the society.
He made this observation while addressing a public gathering to mark the installation ceremony of Durga idol in Taherpur Durga Temple under Bagmara Upazila in Rajshahi yesterday as the chief guest. The eight-metallic idol was constructed at a cost of around Taka 25 lakh for the Durga temple.
