Sabbir Hossain :
Incessant rain washed away the fifth day play of the first cricket Test between the touring South Africa and hosts Bangladesh on Saturday. As a result, the match ended in a draw at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.
This is for the first time that Bangladesh drew with South Africa in any Test match.
The fourth day play also could not be held due to heavy rain, inclement weather and unplayable condition of the ground. Bangladesh had a 17-run lead at the close of the play.
