Mahmudullah does it for Bangladesh: BD notch up 468 in 1st innings

A splendid 150 (not out) from Mahmudullah Riyad powered Bangladesh to notch up a mammoth total of 468 in the first innings against Zimbabwe on the second of the lone Test match at Harare Sports Club Ground in Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Bangladesh resumed their first innings with the overnight score of 294 for the loss of eight wickets.
Mahmudullah Riyad and Taskin Ahmed resumed their first innings with the overnight score of 54 and 13 runs respectively.
Riyad and Taskin Ahmed put on together 191 runs for the ninth wicket partnership before Taskin Ahmed was bowled out by Milton Shumba when Bangladesh’s score was 461 for the loss of nine wickets. Riyad and Taskin built the record ninth wicket partnership for Bangladesh.
Riyad’s 278-ball painstaking innings was decorated with 17 fours and one sixer. It was Riyad’s highest individual score in his Test career. Riyad reached 100-run landmark using 195 balls with 11 fours and a sixer. It was Riyad’s fifth century in Test cricket.
Taskin Ahmed notched up a marvelous 75. He hit 11 fours in his 134-ball knock. It was Taskin Ahmed’s maiden half-century in Test cricket. Taskin reached his 50-run landmark playing 69 deliveries with eight fours.
After Taskin’s departure, Ebadot Hossain was trapped leg before wicket by Blessing
Muzarabani for naught when Bangladesh’s innings was concluded.
Earlier, Liton Das was deprived of a century for just five runs. He knocked a superb 95 from 147 deliveries hitting 13 fours.
Mominul Haque played a captain’s knock of 70. His 92-ball innings saw 13 fours.
Muzrabani was the most successful bowler for Zimbabwe . He captured four wickets in the space of 94 runs.
Milton Shumba got success on the second day claiming one wicket for 64 runs.
