UNB, Chapainawabganj :A Bangladeshi national was gunned down by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Raghunathpur border in Shibganj upazila on Wednesday night.The deceased was identified Anwar Hossain, 23, son of Sentu, a resident of Fatehpur Gaipara village of the upazila.Acting commanding officer Major Najmul Alam of BGB-9 battalion said BSF members from Thakurbari BSF camp opened fire on Anwar while he was returning home from India around 9:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot.Later, a flag meeting was held between BGB and BSF authorities over the killing.Confirming the death BSF authorities said that they handed over Anwar’ s body to Indian police.
