A Bangladeshi national was killed by the BSF on the Boshalgaon borders under Horipur upazila in Thakurgaon district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Hemonto, 32.
The incident was confirmed by Commanding Officer of BGB 42, Dinajpur Lieutenant Colonel Aktar Iqbal on Tuesday at 11 am. The shooting incident occurred when the deceased was crossing the border at dawn.
He said that the BGB in the flag meeting requested the BSF to return the body and the arrested Bangladeshi. Lt.
Colonel Aktar Iqbal said that the body of Sree Hemonto would probably be returned by BSF today.
BGB said that Hemonto was trying to cut barbed wire to go to India on Tuesday 4 AM near the border pillar No. 351/2. The BSF Borogao Camp in the North Dinajpur District, West Bengal, India opened fire and killed the Bangladeshi national.
