 Diplomatic Correspondent :
Amid the oil crisis in the country, Bangladesh is considering the import of fuels from the South-East Asian country Brunei to meet the rising demand.
“A fuel crisis is going on in the international market. We are continuing our discussion with Brunei about it. We hope that Brunei will assist us here. Currently we have high demand for diesel. We’ll talk about it,” Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen said on Monday.
While talking to the journalists in the Foreign Ministry, he said that a delegation led by him is going to attend a secretary level meeting in Brunei on August 31. During the meeting, the fuel import will get focus, he added.
The meeting is being held before the visit of Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah to Dhaka in mid-October.
