BD, Iran can work together to promote arts, culture: Noor

In an effort to strengthen cultural bond between Bangladesh and Iran, the two countries can work together in the areas of arts, culture and literature on a wide-range, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor said yesterday.
“Since 1977, cultural agreement has been existing between Bangladesh and Iran and this agreement will further cement friendly relations between the two countries,” he made the comment when Iranian Ambassador Dr Abbas Vaezi paid a courtesy call at his secretariat office here.
Referring to his participation at Tehran International Book Fair held this year, Noor said, “That was a well-organized and excellent book fair… I have learnt a lot from the book fair.”
The Iranian Ambassador said Bangladesh possesses a rich literary and cultural tradition and hoped the two countries will be benefited through different forms of culture and arts, an official release said yesterday.
Secretary-in-charge of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Aktari Momotaz, among others, was present on the occasion.
