Bangladesh High Commission to India observed the 44th Armed Forces Day marking the founding of Army, the Navy and the Air Force during the War of Liberation in 1971.
The day was observed by various programs here yesterday. In the evening Bangladesh High Commission arranged a reception party. Former Indian army officers who fought for Bangladesh liberation war in 1971, diplomats, intellectuals, and journalists were present.
Speaking On the occasion Syed Muazzem Ali, High Commissioner of Bangladesh said, as we celebrate our Armed Forces today, we remember, with gratitude and appreciation the support and cooperation that we had received from the government and people of India at the critical hours of our nation.
