BD Envoy to US Ziauddin meets Congressman Steve Chabot

Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Mohammad Ziauddin met Republican Congressman Steve Chabot at Capitol Hill in Washington on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed, among others, counterterrorism, women empowerment and duty-free market access, according to a message received here on Friday.
The ambassador handed over to the congressman some information notes on the counterterrorism activities in Bangladesh, reasoning for duty free quota free market access for all LDCs to the US market, and women empowerment.
Republican Congressman from Ohio, Steve Chabot is a member of the House Foreign Affairs Sub Committee on Asia and the Pacific and also a member of the House Judiciary Committee.
Congressman Chabot, who earlier visited Dhaka, said he is a great admirer of Bangladesh.
Toufique Hasan, minister (political) of the Bangladesh Embassy, was present at the meeting.
