Earlier, Bangladesh women got off to a frustrating start in the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship losing to Malaysia by 1-7 goal in the first international appearance on Wednesday and conceded another huge 0-7 goal defeat against stronger and four-time South East Asian Games runners-up Vietnam in their 2nd match on Friday.
In the day’s match, captain Sabina Khatun, who has experience of playing the futsal in the Maldives domestic circuit in 2016, scored the consolation goal for Bangladesh in the 23rd minute. Later, Sabina was adjudged one of the best three players of the tournament.
