Bangladesh Denim Expo, an international exposition dedicated for promotion of denim products, got overwhelming response from the global brands and retailers.
The two-day mega exposition has been successfully completed at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka with the aim of highlighting the importance to develop business relationships for promoting best working practices.
In the expo, over 5,540 visitors and buyers’ representative from 1,018 companies of 55 countries have joined to see the latest denim products and to make new contacts with the makers as well as the buyers.
Meanwhile, a total of 63 exhibitors from 12 countries including Bangladesh displayed their latest and innovative denim goods and fabrics in the expo held on Wednesday and Thursday.
The theme of the ninth edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo was ‘Simplicity’ to display latest trends of denim products to the global brands and retailers as well as Bangladeshi manufacturers.
In the showcase, Bangladesh has showed the strength and capacity in denim manufacturing.
“The underlying concept of the Bangladesh Denim Expo is to fulfill the needs of the international denim community, offering the opportunity to make new contacts with potential buyers, discovering new products and to gain a comprehensive overview of the latest developments available from the Bangladesh Denim Industry” said Md Mostafiz Uddin, founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo.
As a manufacturer of denim products, a maker needs to connect with the buyers to establish a relationship. The expo is a best platform to this end and for last couple of years, it has been able to connect buyers and makers bringing them under a common platform, said Mostafiz.
Bangladesh is now the hot spot for the denim products as it has increased quality of product by introducing latest technology and innovation, he added.
“I have joined the expo to learn about the latest trend and technology used in the denim industry. The expo has provided wide range of insight of the industry,” said Md Saiful Islam, a visitor told. He said this type of expo should continue with new issues to inspire the next generation.
