Bangladesh Hockey team emerged the Group-B champions of the Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers beating Singapore Hockey team by a solitary goal in their last Group-B match at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Thursday.
Rakibul of Bangladesh scored the all-important goal in the 18th minute of the play.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh blanked Singapore by seven goals to nil in the recently concluded AHF Cup Hockey.
Bangladesh grabbed nine points from three matches.
Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Indonesia by 3-1 goals in their first Group-B match at the same venue on May 7.
Then, the red-and-green outfit overcame Sri Lanka by 3-1 goals in their second Group-B match at the same venue on May 10.
Bangladesh will face the winners of the Hong Kong or Thailand in the semi-final at the same venue on May 14.
