BD archers win 4 more golds in SAG

Archers of Bangladesh secured four more gold medals at the Archery Competition in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) at Pokhara in Nepal on Monday.
Earlier, Bangladesh bagged six gold medals in the different events of Archery competition in the South Asian Games on Sunday.
By virtue of yesterday’s four gold medals, Bangladesh captured ten gold medals in Archery competition out of ten gold medals.
Suma Biswas of Bangladesh beat Sri Lankan Anuradha Karunaratne by 142-134 points in the final of the women’s individual compound event to clinch the day’s first gold. It was Bangladesh’s 15th gold medals in the ongoing South Asian gala extravaganza.
Sohel Rana edged past Tendon Dorji of Bhutan by 137-136 points in the men’s individual compound event to bag 16th gold for Bangladesh.
Eti Khatun defeated Sonam Dema of Bhutan by 7-3 points in the women’s recurve event to clinch 17th gold medals for Bangladesh.
Archery sensation of Bangladesh Ruman Sana claimed the day’s fourth gold after crushing Kinley Tshering of Bhutan by 7-1 points in the men’s recurve event. It was 18th gold for Bangladesh.
