Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Afghanistan Cricket team in the third and final One Day International (ODI) match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today. The do-or-die Day/Night affair starts at 2.30 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time). State-owned television Bangladesh Television
(BTV) and private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live from the arena. Earlier, Bangladesh registered a seven-run win over Afghanistan in the first ODI match at the same venue on September 25.
Later, Afghanistan levelled the series 1-1 beating Bangladesh by two wickets at the same venue on September 28.
Before today’s match, Captain of Bangladesh team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, ” We have the capability to beat them. We are confident. We have to play tomorrow’s match with confidence. We have to play in the match out of any mental pressure.”
He said, ” Afghanistan played their best in the last year. And they showed an overall performance. They won the second ODI match as they deserved the victory.”
Top-order batsman of Afghanistan Hashmatullah Shahidi said, ” Our spin attack is good. Mohammad Nabi is extremely a good spinner. Besides, Rashid Khan is a world-class spinner. Hoping that the spinners will keep their consistency in the series decider ODI to win the match.”
