There was a delayed start to the game because of rain in the morning and the match was reduced to 28 overs-a-side after Ireland Wolves were invited to bat first. Rain once again halted the game when Ireland were on 37 for 1 after five overs. Pacer Khaled Ahmed had removed opener Stuart Thompson for three before the stoppage.
