The BCS General Education Committee (BCSGEC) has demanded annulment of the proposed cadre rules 2018.
The call was given in a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) auditorium around 11.30 am on Sunday.
Professor I.K. Selim Ullah Khandaker, President of BCS General Education Association, addressed the conference, while Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, Secretary General of the BCS General Education Association read out the written statement.
The speakers said that the Prime Minister endorsed to make teachers jobs as government, retaining non-cadre status. A rule will be issued within one month in this regard.
According to the rule, private teachers of non-government cadres will have the opportunity to get the BCS general education cadre dignity through a competitive examination.

Secretary General of the BCS General Education
Association, Shahdeul Khabir Chowdhury said that the Education Committee is committed to prevent any efforts to lower the rights and dignity of the cadre officers who were recruited on merit basis.
Some leaders of BCS General Education Association were also present at the conference. They were Masuda Begum, Syed Mainul Hasan, Md. Kamal Uddin, Shahidul Islam, Khan Rafiqul Islam, Sukumar Dutta and others.
