Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Saturday organised a voluntary blood donation campaign on the Dhaka University (DU) campus marking its 74rth founding anniversary.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni inaugurated the daylong voluntary blood donation campaign this morning in front of Aparajeyo Bangla on the campus with BCL central President Al Nahian Khan Joy in the chair, reports BSS.
A total of 537 leaders and activists of BCL from different units donated blood voluntarily at the daylong campaign from 10am to 5pm today, said BCL central president Al Nahian Khan Joy.
All the collected bloods were handed over to different hospitals through different blood donation organisations including Sandhani Blood Bank, said Al Nahian Khan.
“Like previous years, we organised this campaign in a bid to help the people” Joy added.
