Staff Reporter :Three activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League [BCL], the student wing of ruling Awami League, were killed and several others received injuries in two separate incidents in Dinajpur and Chittagong on Thursday evening. Of them, two BCL activists of Hazi Danesh Science and Technology University Unit were killed in a fierce gun battle between two rival groups on the campus. At least 30 others also received injuries in the clash. Of them, eight received bullet injuries, sources said. Sources said the clash erupted between the two rival groups of BCL to maintain supremacy on the campus during celebrating Pahela Baishakh. Police could not provide the details of the incident till the time of filing of the report at 11:10 pm yesterday. In another incident, a BCL activist was killed in a clash between the supporters of two rival councilor candidates at Tiger Pass in Chittagong yesterday night. Details were not available immediately.
