BCL factional clash leaves 19 wounded at JUST

Nineteen activists of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) unit Bangladesh Chhatra League were wounded in a clash on the politics prohibited university campus. Of the wounded, 9 including Subrata Biswas, president of the student wing of the ruling party were rushed to Jessore General Hospital.
The incident took place on early Friday, student of the university told.
Subrata Biswas, president university unit BCL alleged that terrorists led SM Shamim Hasan, general secretary, university unit BCL took away a number of mobile phones and laptops after beating up them storming at a students’ hall on the campus after mid night.
The miscreants throw him from the third floor of the university hall, Subrata claimed.
Denying the allegation Shamim Hasan said Subrata faction of BCL ousted around 100 students from the campus for which they were deprived from education. ‘I went to Shahid Mashiur Rahman hall at night but did not hurt anyone,’ he added.
While asked about the matter, Azmal Huda, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that he was unable to make any comment as he was at a meeting.
Mehedi Ahsan, medical officer, Jessore General Hospital told that nine students of JUST were admitted at the hospital with minor wounds.
