BCL activists held with hemp at CU

Police personnel in collaborating with proctorial bodies of the Chittagong University (CU) yesterday detained five activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League Chittagong University chapter with hemp from Suhrawardy hall of CU.
The detainee were: Robiul Islam of Economics department under 2015-16 academic session, Suman Tripura of Institute of Education and Research under 2014-15, Moin Uddin of Percian Language Literature department under 2014-15, and, Abdullah Al Tamzeid and Imamul Hasan Khan of Bengali Department under 2013-14 academic session. All of them are also students of CU.
Among the detainee, two are known as the followers of Mohammad Mamun, former vice president of CU BCL.
Confirming the matter CU assistant proctor Liton Mitra Said that 5 students of different departments were detainee from 151 number room of Suhrawardy hall while taking hemp and handed them over to Hathazari Thana. An allegation will be filed against them to the Thana and academic decision will also be taken.
Belal Uddin Jahangir, officer in charge Of Hathazari Model Thana said that police detainee five CU BCL men while they were taking Marijuana. A case is processing to file under Narcotic Act.
Mamun, however, refused to comment in this regard.
