BCB XI-Afghanistan 2-dayer practice match ends in draw

The two-dayer practice match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and touring Afghanistan ended in a draw at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.
Electing to bat first, Afghanistan piled up a fighting total of 289 for the loss of nine wickets in the first innings and declared their first innings on the second day.
In reply, BCB XI scored 123 in their first innings on the second day.
Later, Afghanistan scored 14 for the loss of none in the second innings before the bails were drawn for the last and final day.
Al-Amin (Junior) was the only batsman of BCB XI who made a respectable 29. He hit five fours in his 49-ball innings.
Anamul Haque, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Fardeen Hasan and Naeem Islam added 19, 15, 14 and 13 runs respectively to the hosts’ total
Zahir Khan of Afghanistan claimed five wickets at the cost of 24 runs, while Rashid Khan grabbed three wickets instead of 26 runs.
Besides, Shapoor Zadran and Sayed Shirzad took one wicket each for four and 23 runs respectively.
Earlier, Afghanistan resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 242 for the loss of six wickets and then added more 47 runs losing three wickets on the second day. After scoring 289 for the loss of nine wickets, the visiting Afghanistan declared their first innings.
Sumon Khan of BCB XI plucked more one wicket conceding more 22 runs on the second day.
Later, openers Javed Ahmadi and Rahmat Shah were at the crease with 12 and two runs respectively before the two umpires drawn the bail for the final day.
