BCB may include Nasir, Mominul, Mithun and Abul Hossain in BD squad

Bangladesh Cricket Board in a recent meeting are contemplating to include allrounder Nasir Hossain, Test batsman Mominul Haque, wicketkeeper batsman M Mithun and medium pacer Abul Hossain Raju for Bangladesh team for Emerging teams Asia Cup Bangladesh 2017 squad.
This coveted competition is going to begin from March 27 at four separate venues across the country with the participation of eight countries.
In order to take part in the tournament the training camp for the 17-memebr Bangladesh preliminary squad began on March 11 last.
Four Test playing countries of Asia representing under-23 team along with four more countries – Afghanistan, Nepal, Hong Kong and Malaysia – will take part in the tournament.
The matches will be held in one-day format and maximum four national team’s players will be allowed to be part of the four Test playing teams.
Eight Asian teams, divided in two groups, will compete in the first phase of the tournament in four venues of Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar — Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) and MA Aziz Stadium (MAAS) in Chittagong, and Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS)-1 and SKICS-2 in Cox’s Bazar.
The participating teams are:
Group A-India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Malaysia,
Group B -Bangladesh, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Nepal.
Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign on March 27, taking on Hong Kong in one of the opening day’s fixture to be held at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS) in Cox’s Bazar.
In the remaining matches, Bangladesh will play against Nepal on March 28 and face Pakistan on March 30 both at SKICS in Cox’s Bazar.
All the group phase matches will begin at 9 am while the final of the tournament is slated on April 3 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong at 2 pm.
