BCB announces squad for Afghanistan Series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday the 15-member Bangladesh squad for the three-match Twenty20 International Series against Afghanistan scheduled to be held at Dehradun in India.
Chief Selector of Bangladesh National Cricket team Minhajul Abedin Nannu announced Bangladesh squad at the conference room in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Selector Habibul Bashar was with him.
Left-hander opener Imrul Kayes and pacer Taskin Ahmed and wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan have been ruled out from the squad. Promising Mosaddek Hossain returned to the squad. Last year Mosaddek Hossain could not perform for Bangladesh National Cricket team due to injury in his eye.
Opener Soumya Sarkar and Ariful Haque have been included in the squad.
The players, who have been selected, are: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mahmudullah Riyad (Vice-Captain), Tamim Iqbal Khan, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Kumar Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Ariful Haque, Mehedi Hassan Miraz, Nazmul Islam Apu, Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Hider Rony, Rubel Hossain and Abu Jayed.
It may be mentioned that Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are staying now in India. They are taking part in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
Bangladesh National Cricket team will leave the city for Dehradun on May 29.
Bangladesh team will play a practice match against Afghanistan at the Rajib Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun on June 1.
Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the first T20I at the same venue on June 3.
Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in the second T20I at the same venue on June 5.
Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan in the third T20I at the same venue on June 7.
All the matches will start at 8.30 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Bangladesh team will depart Dehradun for home on June 8.
